I consider it a blessing to have grown up and be educated in Chicago, and for my family being able to over come severe hardship along the way although we are still struggling to improve ourselves. I’m thankful for experience I gained years ago as a clerk stenographer; first for the county, and later for the state government.  My other meaningful work experience is when I was elected president of a program managed by the the city, and working as a nurse in a nursing home owned by my church.
